Lauren Alivia found yoga at a young age, during a tumultuous time in her life. Searching for something that felt different, she found a home in the practice of Power Vinyasa in the heart of downtown Raleigh, and the obsession was born. She graduated from One Heart Yoga just a year and a half after her first class in a studio and has since dedicated her days to learning and sharing the practice with depth and passion. Over the years her appreciation for all movement led her to studying Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Yin Yoga, as well as Thai Massage, Hand Balancing, Olympic Weightlifting, Personal Training, Partner Acrobatics, Meditation practices, and more.

As a teacher Lauren has gained over 8 years experience in a variety of studios and gyms from Georgia to Montana ~ instructing students of all ages, goals, and experience levels. Lauren geeks out with anatomically sound movement patterns, alignment, mobility for functional movement, and all of the many things the human body is capable of. Her teaching methodology is rooted in helping students shed fear and attachments – to realizing that our greatest limitations are the ones we create in our own minds.
