Allie Lloyd received her 200 hour yoga certification from Wilmington Yoga Center in the July 2014 Kunga Yoga Lifestyle three week immersion led by Jamie Annette, and has been teaching yoga since September 2014. She is currently working towards her 300 hour yoga certification at the Wilmington Yoga Center in Service Leadership. Furthermore, Allie earned a Master of Arts in Teaching Social Studies at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2016. In September 2018 She completed her health coaching training from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
Yoga cultivated a sense of self-confidence, internal strength and balance in her life when she first began practicing in 2011. This inspired her to learn and grow in the practice to eventually share it with others. Allie views each class she teaches as an opportunity to explore student needs through creative sequencing, exploration of anatomy, and an in-depth understanding of the capabilities of one’s own body and mind. She believes practicing yoga is an opportunity for reflection and contemplation in which students are able to carry the lessons they learn off the mat and into their everyday life. Her studies have influenced her understanding of the human body and health with a holistic, healing approach. You can find her teaching public classes, workshops and trainings in Wilmington, North Carolina.
