Carla had her first yoga experience at the age of 16 after surviving a near fatal car accident. In yoga, she immediately found a sense of calm and back pain relief. After attending her fist power vinyasa class in San Diego in 2008, she was immediately inspired to complete her 200RYT yoga instructor certification. She eagerly completed additional certifications in Power Vinyasa Yoga, Hot Power Fusion, Yoga Sculpt, Yoga Pilates, Restorative Yin Yoga, Yoga for Trauma, Veterans Yoga Project, Reiki level 1, and Certified Personal Trainer license through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She completed her 2nd 200RYT with Yoga Salt in March, 2019, and 500RYT with Yoga Salt in June 2019.
A self-described workout/free diving/surfing, traveling and yoga addict, yoga gives her the strength and flexibility that she has been trying to achieve in all aspects of her passions. She feels blessed to have had the opportunity to grow up in Panama, and live in San Diego and Hawaii and has had the honor to teach, assist in trainings and learn from numerous yoga studios in Southern California and Hawaii, as well as instruct classes for Jiu-Jitsu world champions, MMA fighters, Navy SEALs, Army soldiers and Wounded Warriors.
Carla’s passion for sharing healthy habits, a calm mind and a kind heart is boundless, and she is as excited as ever to teach and share her passion in helping others find the same immense benefits she has been able to find in her own practice.
“If you are passionate enough about it, you can do anything you put your mind and heart into!”
